The pandemic known as Covid-19 continues to have a deleterious impact on mental health at multiple levels. Fear of infection, stress related to social isolation, working at home, financial loss, family loss…all have led to mood symptoms rooted in anxiety. Some have even resorted to substance abuse. COVID-19 infection has been associated with a host of neuropsychiatric symptoms, including psychosis, even in individuals without previous mental illness. But are we to believe all that we have been told? Many of these symptoms have been associated with a COVID-19-induced hyperinflammatory state, but then there is the host reaction to the COVID-19 vaccines, which may recreate a milder version of the actual infection with grave consequences on the injected.
Ever since the mass inoculation there have been spikes in car accidents, airplane emergencies, road rage, general rage and a society-wide “covid brain” malaise (much of it blamed on “long covid”).
The golfer who set the internet on fire has been banned for life from the golf course where his wild outburst occurred. The irate golfer was identified as John Reeb, a 41-year-old from Archbald, Ohio. A viral video of the incident opens with Reeb arguing with some golfers on the course and quickly escalating into him ripping off his shirt and challenging the group to a fight. “This is a man that’s been to heaven,” he shouted, “so if you wanna test God, then come and get it shitstack!” One TikTok user claiming to be one of the golfers shed some light on how the confrontation came about. “Ok I was in one of the golf carts,” user @yerrrrr explained in the comments. “One of the girls hit her ball kind of close to him and we drove over so she could hit it again. He then grabbed the ball and said “oh no you ain’t! This is my ball now b*tch!” But that was a special ball to her so she wanted it back.” Reeb has an extensive recent history with the law, including a number of incidents over the last few months. Shortly after getting his vaccine, Reeb allegedly spat at a truck and the man inside through the window and was charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Less than two weeks later, Reeb allegedly threatened his neighbor while wearing only his underpants and was again charged with disorderly conduct. Three days after the second incident, Reeb was charged with obstructing official business after police responded to reports of a shirtless Reeb apparently chasing a vehicle driven by a woman. Police tracked him down at his home after that episode, where he refused to answer the door.
If you are seeing subtle violence daily, or feeling at odds yourself, know it’s not unique to you. Something from the vaccine is afoot and has people nervous, jumpy and markedly on edge. Society must maintain a sense of calm during these unpredictable times. Demand that the government share what they know. Demand the truth. Demand new levels of standards for yourself. And be safe among the savagery that has befallen America and stay frosty!
